Hello and welcome to I Walk Wild—a testament to the transformative power of nature. My name is Steven, the founder of this community and an avid lover of the great outdoors. I am excited to share my story with you, one that intertwines personal challenges with the healing embrace of nature.

From early on, my camera and the wild have been my sanctuaries, offering both a lens to view the world and a refuge from it. However, my journey hasn’t been without its hurdles. I have battled with OCD and PTSD, other various mental health challenges aswell or as i like to call them flavor enhancers. faced the depths of suicidal thoughts and surviving it, and navigated the complex paths of mental health recovery. Amid these trials, nature stood as my steadfast healer.

My profound connection with the outdoors became a cornerstone of my therapy, especially as I embarked on a transformative health journey that resulted in a 150-pound weight loss. This significant change wasn't just physical; it revitalized my mental and emotional resilience, reinforcing my belief in nature’s restorative powers.

I Walk Wild was born from these experiences—a platform to champion the benefits of nature for mental wellness and to support others facing similar struggles. Here, we use photography to capture and celebrate the wild’s untamed beauty, sharing stories that foster awareness and understanding of mental health issues.

I invite you to join our movement. Explore the wild through our lenses, find solace in the natural world, and discover the healing power of stepping outside. Together, we can navigate the challenges of mental health, support each other, and transform lives through the beauty of nature.

Thank you for embarking on this journey with us.
